Welcome to The International PSA Competition Film Festival

About Us

Our Mission

The inaugural PSA film festival event was created to increase visibility and community awareness of the Danbury Women’s Center, its mission to stop domestic violence and its importance to serve victims throughout the region. Through a partnership with the Cultural Alliance of Western Connecticut and its "EndWorks" program, FilmFest52 film festival plans to achieve this with an annual call for submissions for PSAs and Micro Shorts to students, professional, novice filmmakers and marketing and advertising agencies interested in producing short form projects which address Stopping Domestic Violence and Domestic Violence Recovery

The International PSA Competition film festival can help begin the healing for many victims of Domestic Violence and their families by bring the community together in recognition of the problem and sharing through the visual stories that only Micro Shorts and PSAs can show on the big screen. Currently, plans are in place to have the overall winning PSA played in rotation on a Connecticut network television affiliate. See the Winning PSA “From His Eyes” on this site produced my Masters Degree students from Sacred Heart University. “From His Eyes” played in rotation for two months on Fox 61 Hartford Connecticut.
